JonOne grew up in Harlem when hip hop and graffiti culture were emerging. His oil canvas paintings depict the freestyle street art style. Starting out tagging on the streets of New York, he relocated to Paris in the 1980s. His paintings are heavily inspired by graffiti, bold colours, typography and represents the street style.
